My Life is a Miracle

33 The Healin Virgin of Lourdes, but also to the Eucharist. For me, it’s obvious. In our Catholic faith, the Virgin intercedes for us but it’s Christ who heals. We see this in the Gospels and in the Acts of the Apostles. But I’ll come back to that. In the meantime, that miraculous evening, I took up my rosary again and prayed the Joyful Mysteries, that is, the joyful moments in the life of Christ. Joyful…the word isn’t strong enough. That night, I couldn’t sleep; I was sobbing with happiness, and at the same time I couldn’t stop giving praise to God and praying for the healing of others. In the morning, I had to inform my su- perior general in our motherhouse in Nantes. I called Sister Marie-Françoise and got through to her right away. In religion, I am responsible to her, for I have made a vow of obedience. I told her the whole story. She didn’t doubt me for a second but was cautious. She advised me to go see my bishop and tell him what had happened, but to remain discreet with everyone else: “Say nothing, keep silent.”
